Online communities driving climate action and positive change
If you want to make a positive environmental impact, having a community who can support, motivate and inspire you is hugely important.
Online communities are an accessible way to connect with likeminded people and experts, to share experiences, learn more about the cause and most impactful actions and make friendships.
For me, community has been a huge part of keeping my spirits up, inginiting my sense of determination and feeling supported in changemaking, knowing others are participating in the cause alongside me.
Here are some of my favourite online communities to be a part of..
PARENTS FOR THE FUTURE UK
Parents For The Future UK highlight the ways in which the fossil fuel industry contributes to climate change and the direct impact it is having on peoples daily lives in the UK - from serious flooding, intense heatwaves, even train disruptions and more potholes in the roads, and that’s all without mentioning the more serious matter of our children’s future and what it will be like for them.
They are dedicated to standing a stand against the climate crisis and creating change in local communities and nationwide.
As a part of their community you can have a video call with one of the founders to ask questions, get more information and find out what you can do to participate. You’ll be added to their Mighty Networks community, a WhatsApp notification group and find out about local actions, news, calls and events.

The Broadcast Room
Jamie Sea is an entrepreneur who focuses on personality led and soulful marketing, in The Broadcast Room community she has guides on how to use your own voice and belief systems to market yourself and harness your voice.
Whether you are or are not an entrepreneur, for me, this is where it fits in to creating change - HARNESSING YOUR VOICE and getting your message across in a way that is true to you and empowers others.
She works on nervous system regulation - essential if you suffer from eco-anxiety like so many of us understandably do - and provides resources, live calls and replays of community calls.
On top of this, the best part for me is the support and connection within the community between the members. Everyone is there to cheer each other on and give guidance, share stories and experiences and encourage you to stick to your goal and make it work in a way that feels authentic to you.
If you’re motivated to create change and want to be able to communicate what you’re doing to the people around you - friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances, and inspire them to follow suit, this is a really warm, supportive and inspiring place to be.
This is a paid community membership and this is an affiliate link which I make a little bit of commission from when others join using it (all members get their own affiliate link which is another little perk incase you know others who want to join alongside you):
